From ByteDance to Huawei, what have these entrepreneurs brought back from Singapore?

This week, Huazhi International dispatched five delegations simultaneously, setting off for Singapore, South Korea, Hong Kong, the United States and Germany. Among them, the entrepreneur delegation of Huazhi’s Singapore Finance Study Program welcomed a group of outstanding participants. They visited the National University of Singapore and Nanyang Technological University, as well as benchmark enterprises including ByteDance, Huawei and Caobaoji Group. They also toured iconic local sites such as Merlion Park, Chinatown and Little India. At the intersection of finance, technology and diverse cultures, they are exploring viable paths for Chinese enterprises to expand overseas.

Cut to the chase, let’s get straight to today’s main topic!

01.

Engage with world-class minds in class

Participants successively visited two top-tier prestigious universities in Singapore and even across Asia — the National University of Singapore and Nanyang Technological University.

Professor G delivered a lecture titled *Innovation in the AI Era*. Instead of complicated codes, he focused on how AI can serve as a genuine growth engine for enterprises. Some participants jotted down diagrams while listening, and many approached him after class asking, "Is it still timely for my industry to embrace AI now?"

Right after that, Professor G took the stage. Starting with the restructuring of global supply chains, he gave a clear analysis of Southeast Asia’s development prospects. A participant engaged in manufacturing sighed with emotion: "I once thought Southeast Asia was far away from me, but now I realize opportunities are right nearby."

Personnel from Temasek Holdings gave an exclusive internal sharing session on *Temasek’s Strategic Management and Investment Philosophy*. The underlying logic of how sovereign wealth funds weather economic cycles enlightened numerous entrepreneur investors greatly.

Mr. Z, a Web3.0 expert, thoroughly interpreted Singapore’s crypto regulatory policies and market trends. Many participants commented after the session: "Web3.0 is not just crypto speculation, but institutional dividend opportunities."

Corporate Visits: Witness the Shape of the Future

Beyond the classroom lies the real business arena.

At ByteDance’s Singapore office, entrepreneurs witnessed a distinctive path to globalization. Covering content recommendation, e-commerce ecosystem, AI algorithms and localized operations, the ByteDance team shared how to leverage technology to tap into global markets. A brand industry participant remarked: "Going global is never just translating products, but truly understanding local people."

The session at Huawei centered on the dual engines of 5G and AI. The Huawei team demonstrated how these two technologies underpin the digital infrastructure for smart nations. Scenarios ranging from smart transportation to telemedicine resonated deeply with entrepreneurs across various industries.

What surprised everyone most was TPC Group. Originated in Shanghai and passed down through four generations, this century-old enterprise now focuses on ESG and impact investment. Its sharing theme was *Centennial Inheritance and Sustainable Future*. One participant commented afterward: "Profit pursuit and doing the right things can go hand in hand perfectly."

Every stop is no mere formality but in-depth dialogue. Every question targets real pain points, and every answer stems from practical experience.

03.

Cities serve as classrooms, and culture nurtures new insights.

If courses and corporate visits are hearty main dishes, cultural experiences are exquisitely prepared nourishing soups.

The sea breeze at Merlion Park, the stone steps of Parliament House, the National Art Museum renovated from the Supreme Court, and the curved roof of Esplanade… This city tells the wisdom of governance through its architecture.

Time-honored shops in Chinatown, exotic spices in Little India, and towering Supertrees at Gardens by the Bay. Diversity means competitiveness rather than chaos, and meticulousness stands for efficiency instead of triviality.

What strikes the entrepreneurs here is far more than exotic customs, but the powerful impact of soft power. How has this resource-scarce city-state grown into a global benchmark? The answer lies in every subtle detail of the city.

Some lingered quietly on the streets of Little India, while others snapped photos of the Supertree light shows to share on social media. Most, however, fell into deep thought on the ride back, silently pondering profound insights into organizational evolution, cultural integration and long-termism, which have taken firm root in their minds.

Singapore is not the destination, but a new starting point for Chinese enterprises to go global.

This is the precious gift Huazhi International presents to you: a rewarding and enlightening journey of growth with lasting influence.

When the wave of globalization comes rolling in again, may every entrepreneur who has taken this journey stand steadfast and see further into the future.
